What energises you at work?
What energizes me at work is seeing people’s faces light up when they walk into our sheds for the first time and see the corals up close.
What ‘s the biggest misconception people have about your job?
I think the biggest misconception people have about my job is that I work at a ‘typical’ farm – a coral farm is very different and, in my opinion, a lot more fun!
What would we most likely find you doing on the weekend?
When I’m not doing our Saturday tours, I love spending time with my family at home or by the beach.
Favourite coral and why?
My favourite coral would have to be either our scolys (Homophyllia australis) because they’re so unique and only found on the southern Great Barrier Reef, or our hammer corals (Euphyllia ancora) because they’re the first corals I worked with here on my very first day!
What do you love about your job?
I love being able to share the wonders of coral with all our visitors and be able to inspire others to think a bit more about the ocean and all the lovely little creatures inside it.
